All Things Bridesmaids!

I'm so excited to spend a whole weekend with all of my bridesmaids at the end of April! Read's mom has been putting together AMAZING goodie bags for all of the girls- I can't wait to see them open them at the rehearsal dinner. I'm also excited to give them their gifts from me! I hope they like everything.

This post is dedicated to all things bridesmaids. Some may be pictures of things that we are doing!

This is the dress that 3 of my girls will be wearing.

My sister is the maid of honor and will be wearing this dress.

These monogrammed shirts are too cute for the morning of the wedding.

Love the long blue ones!! But they definitely need some monogramming!

Here are some other Lilly bridal parties! Love it!

There is a jewelry store in Boston called JoJoLovesYou and I stumbled across it on a wedding blog. I fell in love with the jewelry and my bridesmaids will be wearing a pair of earrings but I won't say which pair!

These are the shoes the girls will be wearing. I've heard nothing but good things on wedding blogs about how comfortable they are!

94 Days!

We have only 94 days to go!!!  I can't believe how quickly this time has gone. In the next three months I will have three showers and my bachelorette party. I am so excited for all of them but it's finally sinking in that this is all going to come to an end. This past year since our engagement has been one of the best. From our engagement parties to just spending time with our families and talking about the wedding- I'm just not ready for it to be over yet! Not only has this year reinforced how lucky I am to be a part of such a wonderful family but I know that I am marrying into another caring, thoughtful, and wonderful family. Read and I are so blessed to have so many loving people in our lives and are so excited to share our wedding day with them all.

There are a few things left to do. We need to finish up what we are buying for out of town bags, order table numbers, order rehearsal dinner guest book, attend our cake tasting, final dress fitting, and planning our playlist with the band.

Oh and order the pug attire :). They're going to be pretty darn cute if you ask me!

Hydrangea Seersucker Custom Flower Dog Collar

Seersucker Dog Bow Tie Collar (Bowtie) - Your choice of color

Ok...let's be honest. A tad over priced for something they will probably wear once....BUT...we are only getting married once so they better look cute!

We just finalized the menu and some of the things we are having look something like this!

Mini Veal Sliders

Shrimptini Station

Ahi Tuna on a Wonton Skin

Miniature Crab Cakes

Crusted Lamb Chops

And soooooo much more. I'm so excited to try everything since I've tried to stick to a diet these last few months before the wedding. But what I am most excited about is our signature cocktail. I won't say exactly what it is but it looks something like this!

My First Post in a LONG Time!!!

Ok!! So I haven't posted in a long, long time! We are officially less than a 100 days until the wedding and we are starting to wrap everything up! I can't believe it!

We finally chose our chairs and linens. Silver chairs and white textured tablecloths. Our room looks different than this but you get the idea. We will be having pink, green and white flowers on the tables so that will add a pop of color.

I won't give away our exact flowers but they were inspired by something like this. Without the fake buds added in.

We decided to go with a pink uplighting in our venue since we would like romantic lighting as opposed to bright, white lighting. We will most likely choose something a little less pink than this- but this is our venue.

Here are a few updates for now! More tomorrow!

Jersey George!

This is my first post in a long time. Between grad school, travelling and the holidays, life has been crazy.  Sadly, our black pug Jersey George was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease right before Thanksgiving. He has been doing well so far on his medications and we hope he will continue to do so.  Here are some black pug things and pictures in honor of my JG!

Centerpieces

I've been talking with a florist about what I would like for our centerpieces. I originally wanted all hydrangeas but she made a very good point. They are such thirsty flowers that she suggests putting them with other long lasting flowers. Now I need to figure out what other flowers I want to incorporate. I don't want anything too colorful since we are having light pink table cloths. Here are a few ideas I have found.

We are using silver mint julep cups to hold the flowers.

Mixed among taller centerpieces, Brittany ordered smaller ones that mimicked her bouquet with the same antique hydrangea, David Austin roses, and curly willows.

Silver mint julep cups held garden roses, freesias, dahlias and hydrangeas for a classic, elegant effect.

Similar blooms clustered in mint julep cups topped the tables-Bianca roses, white spray roses, and green hydrangeas.

Fall Finds

Well it definitely feels like fall here in Columbus! The leaves are changing and the weather has been chilly. I love decorating my house for fall and Halloween. I have more decorations for this time of the year than any other. I'm looking forward to putting everything up this week before we have guests visit. If I had more space I would love to buy more festive fall decorations!

The B&B we stayed at last weekend had tons of these velvet pumpkins all over the house. I loved them!

I LOVE this wreath! But I have two problems....no one would see it and I have no where to store it! Maybe when we buy a house!
